English term

flavor shot

English to Spanish Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
You can purchase the beverage of your choice and get a flavor shot for free.

For example, if you have a coca cola, you can add a cherry flavor or a lime or tangerine flavor to your drink to complement the flavor

I was thinking a "bala de sabor" or cañón de sabor or something like that what do you all recommend

Discussion

Refugio Apr 6, 2006:
I recommend against grenadita since grenadine syrup is a specific, not a generic, flavor (made from pomegranate juice of course).
yolanda Speece (asker) Apr 6, 2006:
I actually like "caballito". I don' like chupito or chorrito.
Refugio Apr 6, 2006:
There is no implication that the flavor shot "packs a punch". It is just an addition of flavor. If you don't want to use chupito or caballito (shot glass), why not simply "complemento de sabor"?
Más que grenadita preferiría una BOMBA o BOMBAZO (ver mis comentarios)
yolanda Speece (asker) Apr 6, 2006:
What do you all think of "grenadita de sabor" from grenadina and granada. Grenadin is a little flavor you add to a drink but it packs a punch so why not? Yes? No?

Maybe....
yolanda Speece (asker) Apr 6, 2006:
In this region, a chupito is a quick "blow job". Not an option!
yolanda Speece (asker) Apr 6, 2006:
TO help a little, the flavor shot is squirted into the soft drink or added like you would grenadine to an alcoholic drink!
yolanda Speece (asker) Apr 6, 2006:
This is for the Mexican Market and "chorro" in our market is slang for diarrhea. Not an option!
yolanda Speece (asker) Apr 6, 2006:
The earlier part of this sentence has to do with the flavor hitting you like a bullet so that is why I suggested bala but what other term would you all use.

In this case, shot is not used in the gun sense but rather in the sense of chupito or traguito.

Caballito is another word for shot in this sense.
