es mi propuesta, aunque depende también del contexto. El campo de rugby (hay varias referencia en google) se referiría al terreno de juego, que tú ya mencionas, pero quizás en algunas partes de tu texto "venue" se refiera al estadio, en el sentido de edificio. Sede me parece algo más general, que engloba el campo y las instalaciones, el centro desde el cual se gestiona todo un torneo. Espero que te ayude en algo!
