Spanish term

"asumen"

Spanish to English Other Government / Politics Incentivos para la participación en proyectos europeos
Hola.
Este es el contexto: "Uno de los factores básicos para aumentar el nivel de participación de las organizaciones empresariales en programas europeos se basa en reducir el nivel de riesgo que dichas organizaciones asumen con la elaboración de propuestas de proyectos"

Yo había pensado en: One of the main factors to increase the participating level of business organisations in European projects is based in reducing the risk they face when drawing up the project’s proposal.
No se si es correcto utilizar "face", pero es que "assume" en este contexto no me parece correcto, pues este verbo significa más bien asumir una responsabilidad, y no es lo que creo que quiere decir aquí. Aquí se quiere decir que se pretende reducir el nivel de riesgo al que se enfrentan cuando se elabora la propuesta.
¿Qué pensáis??

Muchísimas gracias

they (have to) bear/they incur

your sentence as proposed in English needs several corrections (based ON; factors IN increasING; the risks that that incur, etc...)

Oops, that translation should have read:
"risk level that such organizations take with the drafting of project proposals"
Example sentence:

nivel de riesgo que dichas organizaciones asumen con la elaboración de propuestas de proyectos

such organizations take with the drafting of project proposals
