A warm thank you to Babette (and Edwin) for your hard but greatly appreciated work in representing for New York!

One of the occupational hazards of translation it seems is social clumsiness and what I call creeping "islandism." We should all get together on a regular basis (ProZ or no), just to get us out of the house and away from the Internet God for a lovely afternoon.

Hisayo and I really enjoyed meeting everyone yesterday at the restaurant. (And good thing it was not scheduled for today with this rain!).

Dear Translators and Interpreters,
I want to apologize If I didn't make it to the restaurant on time today because was a very bad accident outside of the Lincoln Tunnel when I was coming from New Jersey.

We were there for almost one hour and a half with many cars and buses .

Finally when I arrived in the restaurant with Natia, one of the translators and also my fiance. We only found Babette, Blerta, and Pascaline.
