Is the "applied for the transfer" used correctly"? Can it be "applied to be transferred to"? :-)

= You could also say \"applied to be transferred to\", but the first option is more used. At least that\'s what I\'ve seen in most of the school transcripts and records I have translated.

Yes, this also covers the case where 'transfer' has already been mentioned and the writer feels tempted to use 'the'.
