Non-PRO English Other Other
However, my printer at home has developed some faults, so I have to print it out at another printer elsewhere

Is the "at" used correctly?

TIA!!!

I am sorry! I want to give points to Rita Heller, but in a hurry made an error. I will try to ask moderator to correct it.
RHELLER May 24, 2005:
so I will have to use another printer at a different location
Non-ProZ.com May 23, 2005:
Thank you Jccantrell! Why? the "another printer" is not at my home. :-)
RHELLER May 23, 2005:
great - we usually use ON for work done on machines (printer/computer)
Non-ProZ.com May 23, 2005:
Thanks! I meant the "at" before "another printer". :-)
RHELLER May 23, 2005:
"printer at home" is correct

thank you :-)
agree Refugio : Jianming, you might want to say "has developed some problems"

thanks Ruth, you are right - faults does not sound appropriate
agree Can Altinbay : On is better. JC is correct about deleting "elsewhere".//Good point.

I thought about deleting elsewhere but sometimes the fact that the printer is not "on location" is important - asker could say "at another location"

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you all for help! I miss-graded this question this morning (our morning :-)) Still thank you jccantrell for good advice and kind help. I am sorry I can give points to one person. "

This would be understood

in the USA for sure. 'On' is also correct, but I would lose 'elsewhere.'
