French term
catway
Equipements : club house tout confort, catways équipés en eau et électricité, grue.
Bateaux jusqu'à plus de 10 m.
What do we call "catways" in Eng?
Gangways? Walkways? Or something else altogether?
Apologies if this is obvious, I can't find a good reference anywhere.

pontoon with finger piers and water and electricity available for each berth
As Miranda points out, "catways" seem to be the smaller pontoons jutting out of a central aisle, however these small "finger pontoons" or "finger piers" never carry water or electricity because it would be too dangerous as they are very thin and tend to get very wet. No, water and electricity are carried on the main aisle/pontoon which is much more stable. However, perhaps the author wanted to make clear that there are finger piers to create individual berths and that there is electricity available for each berth on the main pontoon.
