in view of canaria's suggestion, I think committee would be better. Hence publicity committee, marketing and PR committee etc. Credit should go to canaria.

: your answer and Canaria's are different. Organising event and marketing/PR are different things....I thought that it might relate to marketing the University itself(?)\forgot to add that I do actually agree with your answer!

Yes, I see what you're saying and I do think it relates to the promotion and marketing of the Uni. Maybe he's in a committee that's involved in promoting the Uni at these fairs?
