La frase viene de lo siguiente:

la verdad no sé cómo manejar eso de "dreamy-eyed" ¿será "con su cara soñadora, alucinante, ...????

Yes; it's the same as languid, which is from languish, which is: : to be or become feeble, weak, or enervated, so ... you get the points! Thanks. I wouldn't have thought of that.
