Cool beer (or alcohol) warms the stomach

The blogger feels that the beliefs and theories on love in "Everybody Knows" is different and refreshing - especially the perspective of a drunkard using the explanation that "cool beer warms the stomach" as an excuse for enjoying the drinks.

It fits the context in that the blogger is referring to the blatant rejection/disbelief of faith/miracles, despite the obvious bias... just like a drunk/delirious person says he/she is drinking only to warm himself up.
