Discussion

Gene Selkov Aug 11, 2010:
can omit "regular" Most uses of "spacing" imply regularity. Even one of the dictionary meanings is given as:

> A system of or allowance for intervals: the close spacing of the theater seats.
Igor Timko (asker) Aug 11, 2010:
I don't like "cadence" exactly because, as Gene, noticed "one might need a moment of reflection to understand it. " It seems that "regular spacing" is what I was searching for.
Natalia Tarasova Aug 11, 2010:
but doesn't it mean "REGULAR spacing"?
Alexander Ryshow Aug 11, 2010:
нашел spacing - шаг несущей конструкции
Gene Selkov Aug 11, 2010:
cadence might work although some of us might need a moment of reflection to understand it.

"spacing" will be more straightforward: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greek_temple#Column_spacing
Alexander Ryshow Aug 11, 2010:
cadence не из той области будет?
