Italian term

remissibile

Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general) Private agreement
The context is a private agreement between two parties to resolve a dispute over money. The whole sentence is:

XXXX si impegna alla remissione della querela da XXX sporta nei confronti di XXXX e dichiara che la stessa è **remissibile**

The overall context of the document suggests that "remissione" here means "withdrawal" but then that would imply the meaning of "remissibile" is "withdrawable", which just sounds wrong.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.
