English to Italian Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) customary courts
Trattandosi della traduzione legale, mi ritrovo con il diritto consuetudinario nigeriano. Il mio dubbio sorge nel momento in cui dovrei decidere se tradurre il termine nel senso letterario o lasciarlo non tradotto come il " Customary Court".

Your query If it comes accompanied by a number or some sort of identification of that particular court, for example Customary Court No. 5 of the province of...(or something similar to that) don't translate it because it is a proper name. In the future, your client may need to contact that court and he will need the exact name and address to write it down in the documents, and not the translated name. Conversely, if you are translating a general legal text or report about these types of courts and you are not referring to any court in particular, of course, you can translate the term and perhaps also add the English name between brackets immediately after, like this: tribunali consuetudinari (custormary courts) [...].
