Term uit tijdschriftartikel over bekende Nederlander.
Niet de politicus waar we de laatste weken nog steeds gauw aan denken, maar een figuur uit de (mag ik 't maar zo noemen?)schrijverswereld.
Mijn eerste, spontane, gemakkelijkste associatie was 'womanizer' en die vertaling vinden we ook in Babylon, Grote van Dale enz.
Laatstgenoemde referentie (NLNL) geeft verbazend veel opties (een Nederlandse specialiteit?): ladykiller, Casanova, blauwbaard, Don Juan, vrouwenversierder en (last but least!) vrouwenjager.
I'd be disappointed if the English speaking community could not supply a more illustrative, less course term than 'womanizer' and the like.

skirt chaser is the exact translation and a used term in English, however it would not be considered any less course.

Moreover, how can I possibly have overlooked the Oxford Thesaurus amongst the scores of Oxford reference editions, here on the shelf and partly on hard disks?
