Laatstgenoemde referentie (NLNL) geeft verbazend veel opties (een Nederlandse specialiteit?): ladykiller, Casanova, blauwbaard, Don Juan, vrouwenversierder en (last but least!) vrouwenjager.
I'd be disappointed if the English speaking community could not supply a more illustrative, less course term than 'womanizer' and the like.
TIA

Comment: "Thanks very much indeed to all answerers.

skirt chaser
skirt chaser is the exact translation and a used term in English, however it would not be considered any less course.
Discussion
Special thanks to Debby, of course.
In the first place for your lesson on homophones, useful to at least two of us.
Moreover, how can I possibly have overlooked the Oxford Thesaurus amongst the scores of Oxford reference editions, here on the shelf and partly on hard disks?
Intriguing text, in my opinion. I still hesitate to mention names.
The following represents one paragraph.
More text, even names, available upon request
In ieder geval: allemaal nogmaals welgemeend bdankt!
Wie weet: tot wederdienst - - -! Freddie
