: "spion" is a misspelling of "spin" here...see the Asker's context sentence where it says "age of spin"..."spion" makes no sense in this context...Google "age of spin", "spin doctor", "spin control"

It certainly means "spy". How did you come to تظاهر when that really means pretention?
