Hello,
I was wondering if any of you had a suggestion for ‘Personal Services Contractor’ (PSC) in French? Could Société de services personnels fit or do you think that ‘Contractor’ is or could be one individual? Your views would be much appreciated!

Prestataire de services à la personne
le terme "prestataire" vous permet d'éviter de spécifier s'il s'agit d'une entreprise ou d'un individu, et il me semble qu'il y a plus d'occurrences sur Internet du terme "services à la personne" que de "services personnels".

Note from asker:
Effectivement, je vais utiliser 'prestataire', de cette manière ça me permet de rester vague quant au fait qu'il peut s'agir d'une entreprise ou d'une personne. Merci ! |

English term (edited):
personal service company (psc)
l'entreprise individuelle (France)
it's about a one-man company - the company is just a shell for the business of one single person
La société, dotée d'une personnalité juridique distincte de l'entrepreneur, possède son propre patrimoine et ses propres comptes. La responsabilité de l'entrepreneur est limitée au montant du capital, sauf dans les sociétés en nom collectif.

Reference:
Personal Service Company (PSC)
also referred as Personal Services Contractor (abbreviated from “Contractor operating through a Personal Service Company”)
Basically a PSC is one individual operating/contracting not as himself (a natural person), but through a company (a moral person) of which he/she has control (is the sole owner/manager).
NOTA BENE Nothing to go with "personal services".
What is personal is the company, not the services
it's not a --- "personal service" company ---
but a --- personal "service company" ---
--1-- a "service company" i.e. the company is not "real" but is someone's puppet - acting in someone else's interest.
--2-- personal as in one person is using the company as front for him/herself
CASE 1 UK
Personal Service Company (PSC) guide
Are you thinking of setting up a Personal Services Company (PSC) as your limited company? There are some fantastic benefits to contracting through a limited company but you must be outside of IR35 so be careful!
As a middle range committed contractor (earning more then £20 per hour) you may wish to contract through a Limited company known as a Personal Service Company or PSC. BITE offer PSC Limited Companies through a firm of qualified accountants. If you wish to contract through BITE and have your own Ltd Company ( PSC ) we recommend you appoint a qualified accountant to set up and advise you on administering your PSC.
CASE 2 South African Republic
Personal Service Company or Personal Service Trust (excluding Special Trust)
Rules to determine of an employee is a personal service company / trust
A personal service company or trust is any company or trust where services are rendered personally by any connected person in relation to such company or trust and —
the person rendering the service would be regarded as an officer or employee of the client, had such service been performed directly to the client;
the person rendering the service is subject to the control and supervision of the client as to the manner in which the duties are performed in rendering such service and must be mainly performed at the premises of the client; or
more than 80% of the income of the company is derived during the tax year from one client.
The employee will be deemed to be a personal service company or personal service trust if any of the above scenarios apply.
