What is a coffee chat?
A coffee chat is an opportunity for you to meet informally with your manager to review your progress generally or in a particular area. Either you or your manager can request a coffee chat at any time (and as many times as you wish) and after you get together, either of you (or both of you) can record any outcomes you wish for future reference.
The easiest way to request a coffee chat is to use the widget on your dashboard. Just search for the name of the person you want to meet with, suggest a date, time and location, and select one of more topics for discussion. You can also request a chat when looking at coffeechats your list of past and future coffee chats.
How do I request a coffee chat?
What happens after a coffee chat?
During a coffee chat (or after) either you or the other person can enter some notes to describe what was discussed and what should happen next. Whenever notes are added to a coffee chat, the other person will be notified so that they can check them and say whether or not they agree. Notes can be edited on each coffee chat page.
