Even though I was used to such things from ghosts, tehre was a kind of horror to it, being held down by such a blank. Unthinkingly, I reached out with my senses, desperate to find something human to ground me. What I saw was alive and squirming, but not human. God, not human at all.

Mi propuesta:
Aunque estaba acostumbrada a esas cosas de los fantasmas, me sentía aterrorizada por estar sujeta por ese vacío. A ciegas, extendí todos mis sentidos, desesperada por encontrar algo humano que me pusiera en la tierra. Lo que vi era humano y se retorcía, pero no era humano; ¡Dios! No era humano en absoluto.
