Sit with the upper body angled forward

Sit up: upper body is vertical.
Sit back: upper body is angled back.
Sit forward: upper body is angled forward.
(I would estimate about 20 degrees in the second and third cases, but it's just a guess)

Thank you. Certainly likely to be against a chairback in normal usage, but as this is a medical question, I am not sure.

agree kmtext : I'd say that sit forward means to either lean forward slightly or to take your weight off the chair back.

Thank you. Just taking your weight of the chairback would mean you would be sitting upright, or "up" as the question has it, it seems to me.
