spin cycle
Permanent press is what it's called in the US. It reduces the amount or speed of the spin cycle (centrifuge) during the last cycle of a wash.

In a clothes dryer, it would dry the clothes at a lower temperature so that the permanent press clothing doesn\'t crease and doesn\'t need to be ironed.

Yes, I agree. Perhaps a bachelor such as myself shouldn't be answering a Pro question about washing clothes. :-) Although, I am actually neat.

'permanent press clothing' mode button, presumably if we express the idea. Good luck, popro!

rinse hold / crease care
This option is activated for clothing that you don't want to be excessively creased during the spinning/rinsing cycle.
I assume that you can go from rinse hold/crease care to the end of the cycle without fast spin.
In a tumble dryer, cool air is used to the same effect.

On certain models a \'rinse hold\' or \'crease care\' option is present. These options will hold the wash contents in their final rinse water. Simply de-selecting the option will allow the wash/rinse process to continue to the end of the cycle.
