That might help pin it down, but a convenient way of getting round this sort of cultural difference (I assume there is a cultural difference, in that other countries do not have the same job/qualification) is to use the French in the text and a literal translation (as others have proposed) in parentheses. It gives the reader some idea of what is meant, while discreetly suggesting that there is no equivalent in the language concerned (otherwise a better term would have been proposed, without the French).
