When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

vestibule

Chirs has already said it: I think this is the little entrance area on the way into the bedroom, where the bathroom leads off; this could quite legitimately be described as a kind of 'airlock' in a way, though of course 'vestibule' would be the more usual word... or even just 'entry', or 'lobby'
Peer comment(s):

agree gail king : i was wondering where i d seen it before of course its an airlock on a sub, so yes vestibule or entry works for me

Thanks, Gail! 'airlock' of course is only one kind of 'sas', it's used for all those sort of places where you have 2 sets of doors
agree Bashiqa : Although the vestibule in my 'nearly' converted barn is definitely not an air lock, judging by the draught blowing through!

Thanks, bashiqa! Commiserations, I know what that feels like... have been in the throes of doing up my watermill for 12 years...

Thanks, Chris!
agree Charles Hawtrey (X) : Not many on a simple gsearch-but try this one http://www.hotelizmailovo.ru/eng/number.html-unexpected country to find it in.I think I'd feel more at ease with 'lobby' as you suggest - it has a old-fashioned feeling./Yes.I meant to say 'less old-fashioned'

Thanks, Charles! I do rather tend to agree, except for the potential confusion with 'the hotel lobby' itself?

security door

Although the usual meaning is "airlock" (which is unlikely here), it can also mean a security door or vestibule
