French term

coussinet

French to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) turboalternator
I have looked this term up in both Proz and GDT but it is one of those technical terms that can have so many different translations that I don't feel confident with it at the moment. It appears in a contract that is mostly of a non-technical nature but which has just turned a bit technical on me...and I am not confident with the parts of this device. Having said this, the contract does not go into great technical detail, all I know at the moment is that it is a turboalternator used in waste-to-energy operations. I am in the process of researching these devices (including requesting more info from the client) but in the meantime wondered if anyone might have an idea of what this part is likely to be in terms of this type of device. It appears simply in a schedule of parts to be inspected during a 'minor' inspection of the device 3 years after it was supplied. To give some surrounding context, this term appears in the following list (and one or two of the other terms in it might appear as separate questions, although I am fine with most of them) - thanks :-

bearing

Si c'est une turbine, peut-être c'est "bearing" ?

Bearing

I am not a specialist in this field but I looked this up in Termium and though there are many entries, this is the only one that makes reference to paliers as well. I hope this helps.
