French term

OP followed by a date

French to English Law/Patents Law: Taxation & Customs abbreviation
Hi all -

I am translating a tax document from west Africa into English.

Under a subtitle "Liquidation des impositions" there follows:
No. Quittance: OP DU 25 MARS 2011

I have no idea what the letters OP may stand for.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Quarterly tax payment? I notice this is noted as a waiver for an OP of 25 March - the first quarter ends 31 March, so perhaps this is a quarterly tax payment and the quittance is the receipt or waiver of action for its having been made. Just a guess, may help to identify the term. Possibly P could be "paiement" but I don't know about O.

Hi there - I would ask the client if I could however I am going through an intermediary and don't have access.
KMPrice Aug 23, 2013:
Ask the client I always ask the client when there's not enough context for me to figure out an abbreviation. Better to err on the safe side. If you aren't able to ask, I would leave it as is, and highlight it, to draw the client's attention to it.

could be... but!

ordre de paiement? Only a guess

I don't Sara is wrong, I would have thought of OPERATION too...
Michael Meskers (asker) Aug 23, 2013:
It is a tax certificate issued by a government tax authority to a bank.
AllegroTrans Aug 22, 2013:
Context please you haven't told us what kind of a tax document it is. A demand? Something else? I would think this is relevant
Sara Ruiz Aug 22, 2013:
maybe opération?
