French term

VS AA

French to English Medical Medical (general) post TAVI (Transcatheter aortic valve implantation)
Hello

I would appreciate some help with these two abbreviations; I believe "VS" = ventilation spontanée"; however I am unable to find "AA".
Here is the context:

Ce jour le patient est stable, apyrétique.
D'un point de vue respiratoire: en VS AA
D'un point de vue hémodynamique: stable, pas d'amine.

Thank you for any help!

Drmanu49 May 2, 2013:
spontaneous ventilation sounds contradictory with assistance! But Helen's suggestion makes sense.
liz askew (asker) May 2, 2013:
Hi
"AA" may = avec aide

apparently there are three types of spontaneous ventilation, one of which is assisted.......
