Paula thank you fot hose two terms.

grimper? Could grinder be a typo for grimper?

French term (edited): grinder vos premières marches

take your first steps

=
"Not expensive, and of good quality, it will allow you to ...... and take your first steps".

I am pretty sure that "grinder" must be slang for "prendre" here. I have never come across the term myself, but it makes sense translating it as "take" in this case.

No problem Richard. Am always happy to help.
Note from asker:
Sounds good Chris. Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was slang for slider sports; about which I know zilch.

do your first handrail grind

Grinding is the performing of a trick called a "grind" in various sports. In skateboarding, a grind is performed when skidding the trucks (axles) against a surface, in this case a handrail.

Skateboarders don't actually 'grind' on the steps but on the rail. Here's a link to a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIWBgd26zXA
