In addition, building owners were obliged by law, dated 17 June 1994, to prepare a safety plan for building sites of a certain size and to appoint a safety co-ordinator to be able to foresee the risks involved in the different areas of work and to take the necessary preventative measures. On a practical level this means each enterprise preparing a safety plan for the tasks on the building site. The safety co-ordinator is responsible for the analysis of the specific risks which occur as a result of the different companies working on the building site at the same time.
