This is a procedure for a pharmaceutical laboratory and I would like to know the English equivalent for this part of the process of preparing pharmaceutical goods.
The word appears in several instances in the text but I can't find the term in any dictionary.

The phrases are:

- Précision de l’analyse : depuis **divisionnement** jusqu'au stockage des produits finis au magasin

- La procedure gère le suivi de la chaîne du froid des vaccins du **divisionnement** jusqu’au stockage du produit fini.

Filling Yes I'm going to plump for filling in this case as further on in the document, there are references (in the French text) to activities carried out in "le filling" and I can see that they've interchangeably used the English and the French in the French text in other occasions so I've concluded that divisionnement and filling must be one and the same. I thought perhaps that there may be a more specific technical term but sometimes the answer is simpler than one thinks!

Filling SJLD may be onto something. I have often seen “répartition” to mean “filling” (e.g., filling bottles with tablets or a drug in a liquid form). “Répartition” can also mean “sharing out”, “distribution” or “dividing up”, the connection here ostensibly being that filling involves dividing up a large quantity of tablets, liquid, etc. into smaller quantities (in bottles, for example). Thus, it seems quite plausible that “divisionnement” refers to filling in the asker’s context.

It is not specifically about vaccines but it is about pharmaceuticals including vaccines. I know the word exists as I've also seen it referred to in pharmaceutical/vaccine related texts on a google search. I just can't quite fathom what the English equivalent would be.
I know it's not packaging as "conditionnement" is used in the rest of the text to mean packaging.

Would seem to mean "dividing up into smaller quantities" - bottling? packaging?

Hi Liz Those are both instances. I suspect it has something to do with dispensing in the sense of "dividing into packages" but as I say, I can't find this term anywhere...
