You don't say which accounting standard is involved, so I've given HGB/IAS(IFRS)/US GAAP (in that order). The US GAAP term is less specific because there's no direct counterpart to the more general HGB concept (HGB s. 294(1)), although it's conceivable for long-term construction contracts. It wouldn't normally be reported separately under US GAAP, though. The IAS provision is specifically required by IAS 37.69.

German term (edited):
Auflösung einer Drohverlustrückstellung
(release/reversal of a) bad debt provision
While RobinB is right in strict accounting (and balance sheet) terms, I'd use the above here as your text seems to be a mere commentary on the company's financial performance.
3 hrs
reserves for pending loss
Auflösung: release of reserves for pending loss.
Auflösung is sometimes defined as write-off which is incorrect due to the fact that reserves have to be released prior to doing anything else with it.

[cancellation of a] potential loss reserve
is best here, because we don't know how and why the losses piled up. therefore, 'bad debts' is wrong.
