repurposing

...may also work, depending on whether they've changed the use of the facilities from their original purposes. Otherwise, I'd use Steffen's suggestion.

complementary use

or secondary use or redirected use. I can see 're-use for different purposes' but 'after-use' sounds strange to American ears.
