Hi, I would appreciate any help with this phrase. I'm thinking of 'signal transmission protocol/sequence,' however I don't think that is quite right. This all has to do with digital signal characteristics. Thanks in advance.
"Die folgenden Feststellungen für den *zeitlichen Verlauf der Signale* an der Übergabestelle gelten, wenn die Schnitstellenleitungen mit der Schaltung für die Signalauswertung angeschlossen sind."

shapes of the signal waveforms
Using the term waveform implies the behaviour of the signal over time, so reference to time is redundant. If you do want/need to be explicit about time, then I would suggest any of "temporal behaviour of the signals". I would choose "behaviour" since this is a digital interface, and I assume what is of interest is the timing of signal changes relative to one another, rather than say, their frequency, waveshape or amplitude. But without more context that could be completely wrong.

signal (-value) sequence
I understand it as having to do with the signal progression over time;
as in: signal (-value) development over time
changing analog to digital signals starts with the identification/sampling of individual signal point (value) sequences.
So I think your "sequence" is good.

PS: "progression" wouldn't be the right technical term here though.

chronological (scheduled) signal progression
......just a shot....the German emphasis appears to be on 'zeitlich' and 'Verlauf'.....that sort of narrows it down considerably...><)))):>.. uef

signal changes/variation over time
or
changes in signal parameters over time
[signal changes over time] might not sound too scientific, but it is often used in conjunction with interfaces.
Sorry, not much more than another guess.
