German term

Stille Abtretung (des Auftragnehmers)

German to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) Main Contractor Agreement (construction)
Title of one of the annexes referred to in the Main Contractor Agreement (Generalunternehmervertrag)

The most common translation for this on Linguee is "undisclosed assignment", but when I Google this, I tend to get German or other non-English web sites or translation portals which doesn't give me confidence that this really is the standard term used in British English.

I have checked this out:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abtretung_(Deutschland)
but it doesn't really help me further...

Anyone *know* what the equivalent is or point me to some references?

undisclosed assignment

I thin "undisclosed assignment" is correct. See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_45b/helpdata/en/76/1a4b6e5733d11...

Zahn also has "undisclosed assignment" as the translation of "stille Zession"
Note from asker:
Yes, I saw the SAP references, but again, a German company and no indication that the term is used in my context, i.e. contract law. For instance, the German term gets hits relating to construction contracts, whereas "undisclosed assignment" doesn't. (and "undisclosed assignment of the contractor" gets zero hits...)
Peer comment(s):

Note from asker:
Sounds pretty odd to me. Any references that suggest how/if this term is used in English contract law?
Peer comment(s):

tacit assignment (by the contractor)

I think this may be what you need; there are numerous hits given by google, but I'm not sure if any of these fit your context:

http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=IUKDBBj3zlsC&pg=PA420&lpg...

This refers to Dutch law, but it might help.
Peer comment(s):
