Geschäftsführer ist stets die höchste Leitungsfunktion einer GmbH, (oder auch einer KG oder OHG). Das britische Äquivalent ist also Managing Director.
Der Leiter einer Zweigstelle, Niederlassung usw. wird regelmäßig nicht Geschäftsführer genannt.
