Previous sentences: An advantage for tourists is that there is no entrance fee to the beach. You enter freely and only if you decide to stay, you ask to lifeguard for the parasol or the beach chair. It is clear that " lifeguard " is not correct in this context

A bagnino is normally the one who brings the chairs, sets up the umbrella and takes care of minor things. If it is the actual manager or gestore, then Beach Resort Manager or Beach Manager would be ok. If it is the bagnino, then it would be the Beach attendant. Ok, I could see in a small resort where the manager may also do bagnino duties.

Yes, it usually means lifeguard. I found "bathing attendant", but that has a very oldfashioned ring. Please could we have the sentence containing the phrase, plus the ones before and after it. And what exactly is the "stabilmento balneare" in this case?
