Of course, it was enough to click the English version (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acute_kidney_injury) to get the English equivalent, i.e. acute kidney failure/injury
Apologies, if that wasn't clear.

For all my colleagues who took my mistake pretty badly:
I apologise (for the last time, though :)) that I provided the link with a Spanish term. I speak both languages and I just didn't realise I switched from one to another (or maybe I shouldn't have replied to that question around midnight after working the whole day) - instead of swapping to Italian in wikipedia I swapped to Spanish. Anyway, the English equivalent lirka was looking for is correct so it is a happy ending.
Anyway, that was the link I was supposed to add:

@Joel: yes, it is in Spanish. I apologise for that (I guess I was replying to two different questions at the same time: 1 Spanish and 1 Italian and got totally confused). The English equivalent is right, though, and this is what lirka was after.

@Joseph: I already apologised once for the confusion. All in all, the English equivalent, which lirka was looking for is correct.

: I'm used to thinking of this as "acute kidney failure" but it seems that "injury" is also used ... lirka can decide this question better than I can.

I also had failure in mind but found injury, there's no difference in Italian
