He was a Germam scholar who brought back - or at least tried to - aristotilean metaphysics, and along with it "syllogism", which had been left out by humanist thinking and philosophy.
"Consequentia a simili" is itself a self-centered, tautologic syllogism:
If A is like B and B is like A (similarity), then (consequence) A and B share the same features.
