Polish term

nie pytaj o więcej

Polish to English Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Theatre criticism
A letter from a senior person in an organisation to another in a different organisation. They know each other well and are on friendly terms. Discreetly hinting at a difficult situation, the writer then says,"Nie pytaj o więcej' - I think you understand".
Is 'Don't ask! - I think you understand' good here? Or is it too informal/idiomatic? if so, all suggestions gratefully received!!! :-)))

"Don't ask" is perfect.

To DarekS Thank you! However, 'Don't keep asking me' seems to suggest that the recipient has asked in the past - which here is not the case. Perhaps 'Please don't ask! - I . . . ' comes over as less decidedand closer to the original? :-)))

I'd rather not go into that

I'm not 'feeling' don't ask either, more for a dialogue. How about a less direct approach to the problem?
