Russian term

ногами пихать ...

Russian to English Art/Literary
Что же, значит, если ты меня не любишь, то меня теперь надо ногами пихать?
Из диалога.
Дама очень эмоциональная, просто spit on me / step on me, наверное, слишком мягко ...
Спасибо!

why treating me like shit?

OK, even if you don't love me anymore, why treating me like shit? Это выражение очень часто употребляется, особенно среди подростков.

Вообще-то "пихать ногами" звучит как-то не по-русски. Можно сказать "пинать" или "топтать" ( Что же, значит, если ты меня не любишь, то меня теперь надо топтать?)

Perhaps it was right to dissemble your love, but why did you kick me downstairs?

This isn't really a translation, it's a quotation which seems relevant to the subject.

When late I attempted your pity to move,
Why seemed you so deaf to my prayers?
Perhaps it was right to dissemble your love,
But - why did you kick me downstairs?

agree John Scigliano : just a note FYI: I think (as a native speaker) that the expression in your third example would usually be "Is the old man still kicking?"
