Discussion

Sofia Gutkin Apr 22, 2016:
Charge at the girl I like this option. You probably don't want to pick something overly aggressive like "attack" or "assault" as it implies that he physically hurt them.
Mikola (asker) Apr 22, 2016:
Тут просто много очень вариантов приходит в голову сразу: attack, assault, charge, come at... Хочется знать, какой лучше всего подходит в данном случае.

To jump all over the girl

Или to jump on the girl

Кстати, и собачья коннотация здесь вполне проходит.

agree Ilan Rubin (X) : to jump on

Thank you!
neutral Sofia Gutkin : I don't like the puppy reference of "jump all over" - it has a different meaning, like someone is being too attentive/annoying.

Forget puppies. "Jump on someone" here is more about an asshole being aggressive
disagree Anya Ezhevskaya : To jump all over someone or especially "on" someone alludes to a sexual desire and an aggressive behavior as a result of it.

"To attack someone verbally" is what it means and implies normally.
