It might be worth rephrasing a little. You could also use words like visionary depending on the sentence structure I also like the use of the word architect as suggested by Steve, but I don't think that entrepeneurship is appropriate.

architect (and engineer) of entrepreneurship
The human person, as architect and engineer of entrepreneurship, is the most important variable in any business.
I suggest "human person" because in Catholic writing on business (which this seems to be) it is a term often used.
"architect" because it's nice and high-flown ;-)

taking up Ronnie Kee's suggestion, I'd change "entrepreneurship" for "(business) enterprise", i.e. "the architect and engineer of business enterprise"
