Bom dia! Como traduziriam "deflagrada" no contexto abaixo?
"which started in 2008"? ou simplesmente "Can the financial crisis of 2008 affect sustainability policies"?

The financial crisis triggered in 2008...
A crise financeira deflagrada em 2008...
The financial crisis triggered in 2008...
A crise financeira deflagrada em 2008...
Note from asker:
Thank you Floriana, I appreciate your help but "triggered in" would not be grammatically correct. "Triggered by" "desencadeado por" would be correct but it can not be used in this case. |

Good morning Marlene, and thank you, have a great weekend!

: triggered would only really work here if it said 'by', i.e 'triggered by spiralling unemployment'

Well it would also work, but depending on what came before and what comes after this sentence, it could have already mentioned what triggered it, and if so you would be repeating it.
