El más pintor de los pintores consigue desmontar los tópicos sobre la especie: vive y trabaja en uno de los muchos barrios de la periferia de NNN (a parte del Casco Antiguo, en NNN todo es periferia) en un pequeño ático que ha pasado de hogar doméstica a ser espacio de trabajo con la más absoluta de las normalidades y, además, trabaja con regularidad y precisión, sin exabruptos ni altibajos considerables, fiel a una concepción del arte que encuentra en la rutina precisa su mejor expresión.

This is my take on it, although it would involve restructuring the sentence slightly, since you wouldn't say "The painter's painter will..." It would have to be something more along the lines of "A painter's painter, he will..."
