When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Charles Davis Apr 1, 2015:
For the benefit of future users Traumatología and traumatology are not equivalent. Although in theory traumatología, like traumatology, refers to lesions caused by violence or accidents, the term is actually applied much more widely than that, at least in Spain, and embraces congenital or acquired lesions. In other words, it corresponds to what is called orthopaedics (orthopaedic surgery/medicine) in English.

In the UK, at least, there are very few traumatologists. It is not a mainstream speciality.
Cecilia Gowar Jul 29, 2011:

neilmac Jul 28, 2011:
Spanish usage differences aside, orthopedic surgery or orthopedics (also spelled orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedics in the UK, former Commonwealth countries and Ireland) is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. The slightly narrower field of traumatology is the study of wounds and injuries caused by accidents, repetitive strain or violence to a person.
teju Jul 28, 2011:

neutral neilmac : Othopaedic surgery is a wider field, not the same as the more specialised area of traumatology.
