OK, so linguistically this one isn't too tricky! I can just about work out what it means ;-)
Trouble is, this appears to be a well-known song in Germany and hence a reasonably well-known phrase or saying.
It is used as the headline for an article on metallic printing inks.
So what I'm looking for is a phrase or saying which says something fairly similar, without necessarily being an exact translation.
(The only song that is coming into my head - and resolutely staying there! - is 'Silver and Gold' by U2, probably not appropriate!)
Anyway, all help gratefully received
