In the Business World..this is Speaker not lecturer..your things are all international ORgs or similar, right?

Final: Speaker

no conference, I just reread your post, this person spoke at events

that is Speaker...not COnference speaker....I got confused...

Second Final: Guest Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Introductory Speaker

at Events Held by International organizations, trade associations etc. etc. these are Public Relations Events either open to all or not, and the people on the invitations billed as Guest Speakers...

Now then...if you lecture to a small group at a Think Tank..then it might be a Lecture/lecturer.. but not in these context.

neutral  jrb: I think you're right about speaker but wrong (later) that such events aren't defined as conferences, often they are, IADB & WB and NGOs organise events they call conferences (although debatable IMO compared with academic ones); NB he/she is, not I am

It should be clear from these references that \"lecturers\" speak at a variety of events (conferences and meetings included). The best option (with which perhaps no one will disagree) might be \"lectured\" as a verb:

\"...he/she has lectured at numerous events (organized by xxx)...\" :-)

No need for "conference"; the following context makes everything clear. "He/she has spoken at ..." PLUS, he could have led a seminar or been a panelist.
