This was quite a friendly meeting in a lovely pub, which is a good venue in Crouch End, London: all of us bought a drink and a meal for lunch. There was no scheduled talk but we all had plenty to talk about. After discussing a couple of specific topics including interpreting at the Olympics, rates and life as a translator, each member introduced him/herself as a professional translator and explained his/her specialties. It was a great opportunity to network and attendees all had a good time :-)
Thank you Anne-Charlotte for suggesting this event. Although distractions elsewhere restricted our numbers, I enjoyed the discussion with international colleagues and the excellent choice of venue.
