Report from  Hilary Hauck
While a downtown section of Pittsburgh was cordoned off in a security alert, we were peacefully enjoying our lunch at Aladdin’s Eatery - great choice of venue I might add!
I hope the others who came would agree that it was refreshing to get away from the solitude of a computer screen. We were able to exchange notes, ideas, information and phone numbers. Who knows what it will come to in the future, but whatever IT is, great or small, I am certain it will be prove fruitful.
We have already started to think about the next meeting. So far the idea of a summertime afternoon or evening gathering in South Hills has been suggested. I look forward to that becoming a proposal and more people being able to make it next time … watch this space!

Report from  Cecilia Clare
This powwow took place, as agreed, on Wed March 22nd at 11a.m. at a restaurante proposed for one of the participants.

It was a very successful and enjoyable meeting, having the opportunity to talk about ourselves, our experience as translators.

Five participants from very different original backgrounds met and had an interesting and animated chat in a nice and relaxed environment about being a translator, technology used and what kind of projects we were or have been working on.

We would like to organize another one during this coming summer.

Participants: Jeanne Zang, Hilary Hauck, Elleen Williams, Patricia Daehler and Cecilia Clare
