Hi Jennifer, I know logic tells us that after the medication is ceased, side effects should stop/decrease. However, why then make a special point about it? If they mean "При отмене препарата уменьшаются побочные эффекты", why write it in such a strange way, using "ВОЗМОЖНА регрессия"? This medication is a beta-blocker. Maybe the body eventually gets used to the medication and side effects re-appear exactly when the dose is decreased? There are no more explanations in the document.
I would expect that side effects would disappear when the drug was discontinued. They would be unlikely to reappear spontaneously after the drug was discontinued. Unless their point is that the side effects are intermittent and can reappear unexpectedly

Другой вариант - reduction of side effects
use of different analgesics would probably result in reduction of side effects and better pain control linkinghub.elsevier.com/retrieve/pii/S1366007106000295

They are saying "возможна" because a reduction "may/can occur" or "is possible" -- or probably even more specifically they would say "may be achieved."
"Discontinuing the drug can result in a reduction in the incidence of side effects."
