who are able/with the ability to detach themselves from everything that already exists
Only those with the ability to detach themselves from everything that already exists can invent/be inventors.
My 2 cents...

"Inventions can only come from those with the ability to detach themselves from everything that already exists".
I thought it would be good to move the attention on "invent/invention" to the beginning of the sentence to reflect the same intention as in the source text.

: I think this sound too abstract- we are talking about inventors who use their imagination to come up with a new product here, as the context is patents.

Abstraction is the core, precisely, they have to withdraw into a different mindset, to "detach" themselves, as Daniel Coria posits, in order to visualize new concepts.

ability to see beyond existing solutions
I think you need to be a bit flexible here- a literal translation sounds rather too philosophical for a discussion of patents. The underlying idea seems to be that a true inventor can go beyond existing solutions to find completely new ones, and can see solutions to new problems. 'Thinking outside the box' is another expression that might fit here.
Example sentence:
Innovation in business as well as technology means going beyond existing solutions and paradigms.
The true inventor can see beyond existing solutions and think outside the box.

: Neat option. I think that's the gist -- more literally, those who can detach themselves from the world as it is.

: We are talking about inventions that might be patented here, not travel beyond the known universe!

I still think it is applicable, in spite of it's sci-fi origins.

the ability to put everything that exists out of their minds
English is more concrete than Spanish, and to me "abstraerse de algo" means to put something out of one's mind

the ability to isolate themselves from everything around them
another option :)

only those capable of abstracting themselves from everything that's been done before
